Madeleine Thorne
Madeleine has worked in the performing arts for 24 years and is passionate about helping to ensure that the arts are accessible to everyone. She has worked at many theatres in Yorkshire – most recently as Head of Young People at Leeds Playhouse – and also spent seven years at Opera North as Head of Community Partnerships, as well as working as a freelance facilitator, director and performer, and is endlessly motivated by the positive effects that being creative and developing our inner artists can have on people, especially those who are vulnerable or have challenging lives.
Madeleine is really excited to have the opportunity to work with Baseless Fabric and will be juggling this role with parenting two young children, sitting on the board of a theatre company, and devising a play about tooth fairies alongside two other artists!
